Linda Bernabei Retter
Linda Bernabei Retter (LBR) is an admired and respected industry professional. Her positive approach and love of the dance arts have impacted thousands of dance enthusiasts over the past four + decades. LBR is a professional consultant to dancers, teachers, and studio owners. She is a creative consultant and product contributor to Music Works Unlimited, her husband Darryl Retter’s invaluable “Dance Teacher Resource” company. Linda and Darryl produced Dance Teacher Connection (DTC), a teacher-only event held to empower dance educators. LBR was Co-Owner, Co-Director, and Faculty at the renowned Retters Academy of Dance in Los Angeles for 31 years, receiving national and local recognition, including Best Dance Instruction Agoura Hills (fourteen consecutive years) and being acclaimed as Top 5 Dance Studios in LA by Dance Spirit Publication. Recognized as Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), National Dance Educator of the Year, presented by Company Dance Convention, National Luminary Award Recipient (Mom's in Business Network). She was the creator and designer of StageWear L.A. Costume Collection and PowerPlay Activewear. Linda Bernabei Retter is an internationally recognized Master Teacher by Joe Tremaine Dance Conventions, Dance Masters of America, Professional Teachers Association, Al Gilbert Seminars, and Hoctor’s Dance Caravan, among others. Linda has been featured, and/or her articles appeared in national dance publications Dance Spirit, Dance Teacher, Dance and Fitness, and Dance Teacher Now. The Retters graced the cover of Dancer Magazine in a feature spread that highlighted their vision, mission, and undeniable influence in the dance industry.
Teaching is a constant joy in her life. From the classroom to professional consultation, Ms. Bernabei Retter’s continuing goal is to educate, inspire, encourage, and support those who bring beauty to the world through their gift of dance. This exciting innovator has worked with and/or choreographed for Bette Midler, Robert Guillaume, Lionel Richie, Billy Crystal, Tom Jones, Andy Gibb, Sammy Davis, Jr., Michael Jackson, Carman, Joan Rivers, and more. Her credits include film, television, music videos, stage, theatre, tours, industrials, and corporate events.
