National Tap Dance Day

National Tap Dance Day is celebrated on May 25 every year. It celebrates tap dance as an American art form. Carol Vaughn, Nicola Daval, and Linda Christensen presented the idea of National Tap Dance Day to the U.S. Congress, and President George H. W. Bush signed the holiday into law on February 7, 1989.
