Grade 3 to 4 Transition Class

Grade 3 to 4 Transition Class is the eighth level of Janice Barringer’s Ballet Technique and is designed for high-intermediate to low-advanced students who are preparing to move into the full Grade 4 syllabus. This level provides a necessary bridge, giving dancers the opportunity to strengthen technique, improve control, and develop the stamina required for more advanced classical work.

After successfully completing Grade 3, dancers are ready for greater challenges but may benefit from an intermediate step before advancing to Grade 4. The exercises in this transition class gradually increase in complexity—helping students refine alignment, deepen musical phrasing, expand extension, and strengthen both adagio and allegro vocabulary. By progressing the difficulty in a thoughtful and sequential way, this level ensures dancers can confidently and safely enter the more demanding Grade 4 material.

This three-disc music collection equips teachers with everything needed to present a cohesive and well-structured transition class, including original compositions, vocal instruction, and teacher reference materials.

Three-Disc Set Includes:
Disc 1: 19 original piano tracks composed for Janice Barringer’s Ballet Technique
Disc 2: 19 piano tracks with clear vocal instruction by Janice Barringer
Disc 3: Technique notes for teacher reference and standard-format audio files
