While this grade is called “Pre-Ballet,” it should not be confused with ballet class for pre-school-aged children. This class was designed for children aged 7-9 in preparation for the serious study of ballet. The requirements for this would be that the child can focus and their body to accept rigorous physical training. A year or two of school or other dance activities will prepare the pre-ballet or ballet student to take instructions such as making a straight line or getting into a circle, respecting the instructor, and going by the rules. When your dancers have accomplished this, they will make an acceptable candidate for this level of dance training.
