Pumpkins Are Fun, aka “A Pumpkin is a Pumpkin” by Al Gilbert, is a creative movement song for 3-5-year-olds. Children can sit cross-legged or stand when they sing this song. The imagery of colors, sounds, and shapes stimulates the preschooler’s imagination. Al Gilbert wrote this song and created the movement for his own preschool students years ago. It is one of those “classic” preschool dance class songs that will live on forever.
