Hello, I’m Miss Faberge. Welcome to Musical Shorts for the Acrobatic Classroom. This is one video of a 5-video system. The five levels coordinate exactly with the 5-Level Sparkle Acro Syllabus for Beginners. Each level builds upon itself, so start with Level 1 and keep advancing.
This video is a collection of short music tracks with fully explained exercises (much like in a ballet class). It introduces the most fundamental dance and performance skills needed for the beginner acrobat (plus valuable acro drills, too).
It can be challenging to present dance fundamentals to students expecting to flip, twist, and tumble.
It can also be confusing to decide what’s most relevant to teach within that short time (10-20 minutes) before you have to move on to those acro skills.
Still - there’s a lot that acrobats must learn about dance basics, such as rhythm, performance technique, locomotor skills, port de bras, and classical ballet. This program will keep you on track with the nitty-gritty of what’s most important.
The composition of the exercises is physically logical so that students can concentrate on good technique rather than memorization.
