Al Gilbert Grade 4 Tap Technique – Tap Dance Curriculum for Intermediate Dancers (CD Format)
Known as “The Breakthrough Level,” Grade 4 of the Al Gilbert Tap Syllabus marks a major turning point in a dancer’s tap journey. Designed for committed dancers aged 11 and above, this level introduces critical intermediate elements, including riffs, drawbacks, turns across the floor, and advanced timing patterns.
Set to an updated pop-rhythm soundtrack, this expanded edition includes nearly 50 progressive exercises and a 2-chorus routine developed directly from the syllabus material. Grade 4 strengthens musicality, traveling ability, and precision in both stationary and movement tap technique. This level prepares dancers for increasingly complex rhythms and choreography.
