Change | April Atherton | Beginner Jazz | Ages 7–9
Change is a bright, high-energy jazz routine featuring catchy lyrics and an uplifting message about embracing new beginnings. Its positive theme and upbeat musical style create a fun, encouraging atmosphere that inspires young dancers to perform with confidence, enthusiasm, and personality.
Designed for beginner jazz dancers ages 7–9, the choreography incorporates jazz squares, pivot turns, lindy steps, grapevines, and mambo. A simple column formation provides opportunities for staging variety while giving every dancer a chance to shine. The routine develops coordination, musicality, foundational jazz technique, and performance confidence. With two performance lengths available, teachers can select the version that best suits their dancers and recital needs.
